Chiropractic
We provide spinal correction utilizing gentle chiropractic techniques. Never in the history of chiropractic have we been able to provide the level of help and expertise that now exists. These newer correction methods are even safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. Our team has years of training and experience in spinal adjustments.
On-Site X-Rays
All of our imaging is done on site with our digital x-ray system. This allows us to not force patients to
be sent out for their imaging, adding unneeded delays in treatment. Our goal is to help people get out
of pain fast, and back to living their lives as soon as possible. Being able to do our entire process in
house cuts down on waiting and speeds up our ability to help patients as quickly as possibly.
Active Rehabilitation
Both of our doctors have been extensively trained in active rehab and applying specific corrective exercises to resolve muscular imbalances. Without retraining the body how to move properly, and then building strength around that base, simple problems become large chronic disabilities. It is our goal to get the ball rolling, and then teach our patients enough to continue this process in the comfort of their own home.
Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave is a revolutionary regenerative therapeutic technology that uses a high energy discharge to promote cellular repair oftendons, bones, and other soft tissues. This discharge initiates communication with and among cells, activating an intrinsic repair program within the tissue. This communication leads to the shedding of micro–vesicles from cell membranes, which contain nucleic acids, proteins, and other molecules that activate neighboring cells and initiate intrinsic healing and repair mechanisms.
These mechanisms include the release of angiogenic growth factors, which leads to vessel sprouting (angiogenesis) and the activation of stem cells, which in turn causes new vessel formation (vasculogenesis). At the same time, an increase of the metabolic activity of cells, proliferation, and a positive, modulating effect on inflammation can be observed.
Shockwave is capable of traveling through the body at supersonic velocity, and its physical force causes no harm to cells. Results vary depending on each individual, but success rates are high and many patients see immediate improvement. Shockwave is a unique medical technology with no relevant side effects, and its potential to benefit your health is unparalleled.
Nutritional Counseling
We provide specific recommendations on nutritional supplements and healthy food choices to enhance our patient´s return to optimal health. Do you know which supplements and vitamins are good for you? Our doctors here at Denison Chiropractic can provide a structured nutritional program based on your individual needs.
Electro-Muscle Stimulation (EMS
Often called E-stim, this therapy is used to complement the spinal adjustment and enhance the healing process of the soft tissues (muscles, ligaments, and tendons) that support your spine.
It works by placing electrode pads on the skin over targeted areas, which then deliver mild electrical impulses to the underlying nerves and muscles to:
- Relax Your Muscles: Electrical stimulation encourages rapid contraction and relaxation of tight, hypertonic muscles, particularly those that are stiff or in spasm around the spine.
- Relieve Pain: E-stim can be used to specifically target sensory nerves to interrupt or block pain signals from reaching the brain. It also promotes the release of the body’s natural painkillers providing relief of pain associated with musculoskeletal issues.
- Reduce Inflammation & Promote Healing: The involuntary muscle contractions help increase blood flow and circulation to the injured or inflamed area. This increased circulation flushes out metabolic waste and delivers oxygen and nutrients to the soft tissues, speeding up the natural healing and recovery process.
Combining EMS with the adjustment of your spine offers a comprehensive path to faster pain relief and improved functional movement.
Intersegmental Traction (IST)
IST or “roller table” therapy, is a gentle, passive treatment used in chiropractic care to mobilize the spine and loosen the surrounding muscles.
Patients simply lie back on a specialized table while internal rollers slowly and rhythmically move up and down the length of the spine. Just think of it as a massage table that does all the work on its own. Not only does it feel great, it also:
- Mobilizes the Spine: The rolling motion gently stretches the spinal joints, helping to re-establish the normal range of motion and flexibility in each segment of the spine.
- Relaxes Muscles: The rhythmic, massage-like action helps to relax tight muscles and ligaments along the back, which reduces painful muscle spasms and guards the patient may be experiencing. This relaxation makes the manual chiropractic adjustment more effective.
- Rehydrates Discs and Improves Circulation: By introducing movement, IST helps to enhance blood flow and the circulation of fluids to the spinal discs. Since discs lack their own direct blood supply, this movement is crucial for supplying essential nutrients and oxygen, aiding in disc health and healing.
