Neuropathy

Non-Medication Treatment for Neuropathy and Chronic Nerve Discomfort

What is Peripheral Neuropathy?

Peripheral neuropathy happens when the nerves outside the brain and spinal cord are damaged or not working properly. These nerves help you feel sensation, control muscles, and stay aware of where your body is in space. When they are irritated or damaged, symptoms may show up in the feet, legs, hands, or arms.

Common neuropathy symptoms include:

  • Burning pain
  • Numbness
  • Tingling
  • Pins and needles
  • Stabbing or electric-like pain
  • Cold or sensitive feet
  • Muscle weakness
  • Balance problems
  • Trouble walking confidently
  • Pain that is worse at night

Neuropathy can affect sleep, walking, independence, confidence, and daily life. That is why it is important to be evaluated instead of ignoring symptoms and hoping they go away.

In order to effectively heal nerve damage, three factors must be determined:

You have sensory nerves (both small fiber nerves and large diameter nerves) and motor nerves (that control movement of your muscles) NOTE: If there is muscle weakness from neuropathy for greater than two years the damage to the muscles will probably be permanent!

What causes Peripheral Neuropathy?

Neuropathy can have many different causes. For some patients, symptoms are related to diabetes or blood sugar problems. For others, nerve symptoms may be connected to poor circulation, inflammation, autoimmune conditions, past chemotherapy, nutritional deficiencies, infections, toxin exposure, old injuries, or other health issues.

Because the cause can be different for every patient, we do not believe in guessing.

At Denison Chiropractic, we start with a detailed consultation and evaluation to better understand your symptoms, health history, and whether our neuropathy care approach may be appropriate for you.

Our Goals for Your Treatment

Neuropathy care should be focused on function, safety, and quality of life.

Depending on your condition, our goals may include helping support:

  • Better nerve function
  • Improved circulation
  • Better balance and stability
  • Reduced nerve irritation
  • Improved walking confidence
  • Better sleep and daily comfort
  • Long-term lifestyle habits that support nerve health

Every patient is different. Results vary, and the best way to know what is realistic for you is to start with an evaluation.

Our exclusive treatment system increases blood flow to the nerves in the feet and/or hands, which helps to rejuvenate nerves naturally and has returned many of our patient’s feet and/or hands to normal (see testimonials below). No surgery. No addictive medications.
Our proprietary and comprehensive treatment program utilizes up to 8 different state-of-the-art technologies and is unlike any treatment program you may have already experienced.

We provide a NEW Safe and Effective Choice

Your first neuropathy visit is designed to give you clarity.

We will talk through:

  • Whether your symptoms appear to be a good fit for our care

After your evaluation, we will explain what we find and review your options.

No pressure. No confusion. No medication. No surgery. Just clear information so you can make a confident decision.

THERE ARE 4 VITAL COMPONENTS TO OUR NEUROPATHY PROTOCOL

VITAL COMPONENT #1
Electromagnetic Infrared Therapy

One of the treatment technologies we use to increase blood flow and repair the nerve is our new Low-Level Light Therapy
(LLLT). This light therapy signals Vasoendothelial Growth (VEGF), which signals the production of angiogenesis.
Angiogenesis is the creation of the new blood vessels, which is needed to repair nerve damage. These blood vessels grow
back around the peripheral nerves and provide them with the proper nutrients to heal and repair. This technology has 21
peer-reviewed studies with a 97% success rate with peripheral neuropathy.

VITAL COMPONENT #2
Electrostimulation

We use state of the art digital electro therapeutic stimulation to assist in the growth of the nerves called Nerve Re-
Education. This is used by the Cancer Centers of America in order to help those going through Chemotherapy rebuild the
nerves. Nerve Re-Education can even be done at home, so therapy can be done daily! The results can be immediate in
both pain relief and restoration of normal sensation.

VITAL COMPONENT #3
Advanced Nutrition Therapy

Proper nutrition in support of our other VITAL COMPONENTS is vital for optimal tissue and nerve repair. Our Advanced
Nutritional Therapies have been to designed to accelerate the healing process by affecting the complex processes of
inflammation, blood flow, and bioavailable nitric oxide.

VITAL COMPONENT #4
In-Clinic Visits & Online Education

In synergy with your home infrared electromagnetic & electrostimulation therapy you will visit the office 1x per week
for our in-clinic protocol. Each vital component is equally important for patient results.

Nerve cells need two things to heal...

1. Fuel
2. Activation

This makes the combination of high-powered lower level light therapy &
nutrition (FUEL) and Nerve ReEducation (ACTIVATION) the perfect 1-2
punch for nerve regeneration! We will evaluate 3 components: structure (spine), neurology (nervous system), and metabolic to uncover your individualized approach to health and healing.

The amount of treatment needed to allow the nerves to recover varies from person to person and can only be determined after a detailed neurological and vascular evaluation.

What if you've been told "there's nothing you can do"?

Many patients with neuropathy symptoms have been told to “just live with it” or manage symptoms with medication.

Medication may be appropriate for some patients, but many people still want to know whether there are non-drug options that may support function, comfort, circulation, balance, and quality of life.

That is where a detailed consultation can help.

We cannot promise that every patient will improve, and we do not accept every patient into care. But we can help you better understand your situation and whether our approach may make sense for you.
