What is Inflammation?

Inflammation affects all of us at one point or another. It can take different form and affect us in different ways even. Many of us have heard of it and are told that we have it but what does that even mean? What is Inflammation?

What is inflammation?

Inflammation refers to your body’s process of fighting against things that harm it. These things include infections, injuries, and toxins, which is an attempt to heal itself. When something damages your cells, your body releases chemicals that trigger a response from your immune system. Common symptoms are:

  • fatigue
  • fever
  • mouth sores
  • rashes
  • abdominal pain
  • chest pain

What causes inflammation?

There are many different things that can cause inflammation. Some of these things include an injury, an auto immune disease or even exposure to certain chemicals. Other things that affect it are smoking, being overweight, alcohol and stress.

Some of these things are avoidable but what if they aren’t? What if you were in a car wreck that was causing your inflammation? How do you help with that?

How to help?

Here at Denison Chiropractic we have a few ways that we can help with inflammation. Many of our therapies, including muscle stim and LED therapy, are ways that we can help with this and also take some pain away. Having an anti-inflammatory diet can help reduce inflammation as well. If you think you would be interested in an anti-inflammatory diet make sure to ask us and we can point you in the correct direction. We also have some supplements that we suggest for those with extreme or chronic inflammation.

One of our top selling products is InflamaZyme. InflamaZyme is a blend of therapeutic enzymes designed to help support musculoskeletal, joint, circulatory and immune health. The best thing about this product is the fact that it is medical grade!

We also suggest every one of our patients be on our collagen supplement. It helps support tendons, ligaments, cartilage and the cardiovascular system. In return this helps with the inflammation and keeping your body in tip top shape.

If you have any other questions about supplements that you could or should be taking make sure to ask as your next appointment. If you need to schedule you can click HERE. Make sure you also follow us on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Tiktok! We have the best content on the internet!
